
Client Spotlight: Thomas Claxton
Thomas Claxton is an indie award-winning musician and songwriter out of Savannah, Georgia. He plays over 300 shows per year nationwide, both solo acoustic rock, and with his band, The Myth. I first heard Thomas play about ten years ago when I was visiting Savannah and asked him if he needed any design work. He's been keeping me busy ever since! Thomas asked me to design a logo for use in promoting his solo acoustic rock shows. He asked that it incorporate an acoustic guitar. So I came up with this neon sign idea where his name forms the shape of the guitar.
Thomas occasionally goes to New York to play solo shows in the clubs there. Here is one I did for The Bitter End.

Thomas has a side project called The Myth. They’re a full band that plays on holidays and for special events. This patriotic variation of The Myth logo was created to promote an Independence Day show.
Thomas organizes a concert each year at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show called the NAMM Jam. I design all of the support materials for the show, including the logo, posters, tickets and pop-up banners.

Here’s a poster I designed for one of Thomas’ many fundraiser shows. This one raised money for a sick child’s kidney transplant.

Thomas has a side project called Sonic Temple. They’re a cover band that gets together and plays on special occasions. Sonic Temple is a reference to the 1980s hard rock band The Cult, so I tapped into that vibe to create this logo featuring an Egyptian pyramid.
