The Mars Generation is a non-profit aimed at educating and exciting young people about human space exploration and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). It was founded by Astronaut Abby, a young college student and aspiring astronaut, and her mother whom I met in Huntsville a few years ago. I was asked by The Mars Generation to create a logo for their 6-year anniversary in 2021. The design is based off of the book cover for “Dream Big!: How to Reach for Your Stars” which Abby had published earlier in the year.
This is a space-themed t-shirt I came up with to help promote the organization’s outreach programs and inspire youth to pursue STEM interests.
The leader and founder of The Mars Generation is Astronaut Abby, a young college student and aspiring astronaut. She hosts a regular web series on YouTube called “#AskAbby”, where she takes questions from viewers and answers them in ways that are fun and entertaining for kids. I have been working with The Mars Generation to create thumbnails and other graphics for the YouTube site to help promote the series.

Every year, The Mars Generation selects and recognizes 24 young adults under age 24 as “Leaders and Innovators in STEAM”. I was asked to design a special logo that would be made into patches, and given to the award winners. I chose the rectangular shape so that it would look more like a badge than an insignia.
I was asked by The Mars Generation to create a logo for their 2-year anniversary in 2017. I sought to capture the excitement of a manned mission to Mars by showing an astronaut on the Martian surface, and a NASA SLS rocket. The two stars in the sky are for each anniversary year.
